Spring's New Arrivals: Our Stylists' Favorite Pieces for the Season

Spring's New Arrivals: Our Stylists' Favorite Pieces for the Season

Ushering in a new season always gives the salesfloor a surge of excitement, a newfound purpose and a shifting of perspectives. Everyone is ready to slough off heavy coats, sweaters and the restrictions of winter’s cold weather. We yearn for featherweight materials and floral prints–pieces that speak to a carefree aesthetic. We become more playful and like all green and growing things–we turn toward the sun. A.K. Rikk’s has an abundance of new arrivals that help you ring in spring so we worked with our personal stylists to talk about their favorite new pieces.

Bethany's Picks

An expert-level spring fan, Bethany has a handle on all things pastel. She’s the girl to turn to for spring dresses for bridal and baby showers. She’s hit the reset on spring and offers up two pieces of advice: sneakers and scarves.

A returning design, Chloé’s Nama sneaker has a fresh spring update, now in an extra tall wedge silhouette. Featuring soft color pops in greens and blues, this sneaker is a maximalist style made extra special with artisan stitching and this season’s charm obsession with a lemon, papaya and heart charm. It’s a sweet update on a Chloé classic that fills the need for that white sneaker that we’ve come to know as a harbinger of spring.

Bethany is also excited to help support the scarf trend that’s taken over our Pinterest boards. You can’t open social media without seeing another scarf tutorial. From covering your hair after the beach to wearing around your neck at the office to romanticizing your handbag, Bethany is going to be sporting floral scarves and we’ve even seen certain options that work to make bracelets or act as stand-ins for purse straps.

Blair's Picks

Everyone comes to Blair for a tutorial on how to dress with happiness. The sun always shines on his outfits and he’s especially adept at occasion dressing so your nautical look for the yacht club or warm weather getaway has a zest and intentional aesthetic that everyone notices. His choices range from a statement blouse to outdoor entertaining accessories.

A silk blouse that sort of whispers softly along your skin, this top in a tea-stain tone from Khaite is a piece of art. The floral applique offers a 3D-effect with a relaxed fit that’s airy and light. Blair’s tip is to style it unbuttoned with a tank underneath and a midi skirt or wear it more casually with a pair of denim.

Since drinking outside on the patio is peak spring behavior, you’ll want the right details to set the tone. The Conran Shop is a new line that features glassware, candlesticks, vases and pottery to beautify your home. Blair is daydreaming about strawberry margaritas on the patio served in the brand’s handpainted blue striped glass tumblers along with fresh cut daffodils in a pale pink earthenware vase. The only thing we need to know after that is when and where this party is going down.

Gabi's Picks

Known for her quiet sophistication, Gabi’s spring moodboard hints at classics, clean lines and core pieces that ground your look while dabbling in seasonal updates that know how to transition. Her top choices: sandals and skirts.

After months of socks and boots, we’re ready to free the feet. Sandal weather is a certified mood boost and Gabi’s Valentino Garavani wedge sandal choice is a must-have to show off that new pedicure. Caramel leather, a rope heel and rockstud details add some IYKYK flair. The best part? They are easy to walk in so you can stroll your tropical resort or investigate a new beach town in much-deserved comfort.

A butterfly hunt is in order as the weather becomes more inviting and this printed L’agence skirt is a Gabi-approved option for its long, maxi length and surprising versatility. Ethereal and innocent, this pink skirt features a whimsical butterfly-jungle print in a pleated design that’s free and flowing. If you’re a set lover, there’s a matching tank top so you can really go for a head to toe, coordinated look. This is a vibrant and fun print that can be dressed down with a white t-shirt and a jean jacket or go for a dressed up look by pairing with a silk blouse.

Chase's Picks

Spring has us letting our guard down and embracing casual options that speak to the lighthearted turn in events. Better weather, more chances to be social and that lean into new possibilities is where Chase works best. His choices start with a shirt you’re going to want to show off to friends and a new, unisex fragrance that’s fresh and aquatic.

Consult Chase on new arrivals that everyone will want to own because it’s always cool to wear it first. An easy grab and go layer, this cotton shirt is a brighter option in off-white with front embroidery. It’s very different from other Stone Island pieces with the typical, iconic arm patch and logos. Trust Chase when he tells you that true Stone Island lovers will want this because they don't have anything like it.

The latest addition to the store’s fragrance collection is 19-69. Suitable for any gender, this line is inspired by counterculture moments in history. A favorite for Chase, Miami Blue is an all around great scent for spring and summer with notes of fresh lemon, rose oxide and amber xtreme. It’s worth noting that a new seasonal scent is the under-the-radar update that’s just as important as new clothes.

Brie's Picks

Our resident bohemian, Brie swings into spring with selections that are artistic, unconventional and designed to be examined and explored. From trench coats to column dresses, Brie is the architect of your new spring flex. From camp shirts to breezy and open-air designs, Brie’s picks never stand in the way of enjoying the weather.

Life in linen. Is there anything sweeter? Airy and cooling, linen camp shirts are the hill we’re willing to die on. No matter the color or print, nothing else says off-duty like a camp shirt. With major White Lotus vibes (something Walton Goggins would wear), this linen shirt from Isaia is made for the Italian Riviera and made for the man that loves classic elegance mixed with style confidence. Besides, that red stripe says: look at me–and don’t stop looking.

Spring means free and easy pieces. Woven crochet tops deliver a beachy vibe and Brie’s TWP selection comes in a champagne tone with a delicate femininity that can be worn with denim shorts, linen pants or with a bikini on the beach. She loves this woven metallic creation that results in a sexy chainmail design that’s very femme fatale meets Joan of Arc–and who else is going to be sporting that?

Chris' Picks

Our newest stylist, Chris is the breath of fresh air you’ll find on the salesfloor. He’s pumped for spring walks peppered with birdsong and he’s all about the wow pieces and accessories that infuse your look with personality. As we spring forward, Chris’s sunglasses collection is timely and he loves how sunnies can be a finishing touch or the focal point of your outfit.

Etro is the ideal brand to kick-start your new spring personality. Designed with a free-spirited elegance and eccentricity, this cream denim trucker jacket is the quintessential layer for fickle weather. This masculine silhouette is lifted up with a tonal paisley print that’s the calling card of the brand. Chris loves it for its tone on tone print that easily adds texture to an outfit while also coming in a great weight for this time of year. It’s a special piece that’s both casual and elevated–practical as well as decorative. As with most jackets, this style can be quickly added or subtracted from your look so it’s an effortless detail that makes an impact.

The seersucker club is always accepting new members. A beloved fabric for spring and summer, Chris favors these Herno pants in blue seersucker with subtle stripes and a soft-hued colorway. This is a spring-ready pant that can be styled with a white top for a crisp, visual contrast. Because spring weather can be tricky to dress for, these bottoms are also loved for their versatility so imagine them with sleek loafers and dress shirts at the office but they can also go the casual route with leather sneakers and a knit top with a relaxed camp collar.
