This cotton shirt combines a plaid pattern with an Ikat motif inspired by a vintage textile from India. The Ikat design is traditional to Uzbekistan and cultures throughout Central Asia. The interwoven global history of Ikat techniques—from as early as the 10th century—holds cherished historical symbolism and varied origins across cultures in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
