Today, as a part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce you to Operations Assistant, Chase Hayward! Chase is the new smiling face and valued addition to the A.K. Rikk's family! Find out what his favorite brands are and his last purchases to get a little shopping inspiration.
What initially drew you to A.K. Rikk’s?
Back in college a few friends and I were searching for some new Stone Island gear which landed us at A.K. Rikk’s! It is such a unique store in our area that offers quality brands and customer service unlike most!
What is your favorite part of working at A.K. Rikk's so far?
I truly love the family-like atmosphere here at A.K. Rikk's! It is really nice to come into a new job and be treated like I have worked there forever! We have such a fun time at work, everyone is always in such a great, uplifting mood which makes it an amazing work environment!
What have you learned this week at work?
I am constantly learning new things while I am at work. Personal Stylist Ben Tobar has been such an amazing mentor to me when it comes to brand knowledge, visual merchandising questions and so much more. I am so grateful to have someone like him on my team!
What is your favorite brand?
My favorite brand is Palace! They are a London-based skate/streetwear brand established in 2009. Some other honorable mentions are Stone Island, C.P. Company, Theory, Nike, Supreme, and Greyson.
When you're not at work, what could we find you doing?
Playing paintball, golfing, shopping, hanging with friends and going out to Bowdie's with Kiernan.
What is your power color? Meaning, what color do you wear most or gravitate towards or seem to feel the best in?
I tend to gravitate towards a beige/cream color. I love these base colors because they go with everything!
Favorite season to dress for?
Fall! I love the ability to layer my clothing.
What’s the last nice thing you bought for yourself?
Golden Goose sneakers, C.P. Company cargo pants and an LBM jacket, all from A.K. Rikks!
If you could invite any three people to a party, who would you choose?
Travis Scott, ASAP Rocky, and Lil Uzi
Who do you think has the biggest impact on fashion trends? Is it actresses and actors, musicians, fashion designers or consumers?
I truly think that the biggest fashion influence nowadays comes from celebrities and music artists! It is incredible how much influence these people have over the fashion industry. With social media being such a big play in today’s world, anyone can spot their favorite celeb in new threads and when they see that constantly they are going to want that piece too!
