Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's: Meet Brittanie Bonham

Today, as part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce you to Events Coordinator, Brittanie Bonham. Brittanie is the latest addition to our staff and was a restaurant owner and consultant and has over twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry. She has a fine dining and culinary background and has been a part of curating events for A.K. Rikk’s for almost 10 years.

What initially drew you to A.K. Rikk's? 

I have been working with A.K. Rikk’s from a culinary and event perspective for so long. It seemed like a perfect transition to be part of the family, full time.

 

What is your favorite part of working at A.K. Rikk's so far? 

Receiving such a warm welcome from the entire team.

 

What have you learned this week at work?

It’s such a collaborative environment. I learn something new about the store, product and staff each day!

 

What is your favorite brand? 

L’Agence.

 

When you're not at work, what could we find you doing? 

Spending time with friends and family, cooking, gardening and working on my 100 year old home. 

 

How do you blow off stress? 

Listening to music and dancing around my house and going to the gym.

 

What was your best vacation ever?  

Culinary tour of San Sebastián and Barcelona, Spain.

 

Who would you say is your number one fashion inspiration?   

Cameron Diaz. I love her laid back and casual yet chic style.

 

What’s a talent you wish you had? 

Playing the piano.



Which types of clothes do you collect? 

Jeans, Jackets and boots.


What’s your favorite cocktail? 

A margarita.

 

What’s your favorite junk food? 

Potato Chips.


What food feels celebratory to you? 

A seafood tower and champagne.

 

Have you ever been told you look like someone famous? Who was it? 

Bridget Fonda. Not sure I agree but I have gotten that multiple times.

 

You have to sing karaoke. What song do you pick? 

Anything by Beyoncé or Whitney. I love a good vocal challenge.
