Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's: Meet Bethany Burton

Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's: Meet Bethany Burton

Today as part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce you to Personal Shopper, Bethany Burton! Bethany is already an asset on the sales floor and to the A.K. Rikk's family! Find out what Bethany’s power color is (something you should look into as well).

What initially drew you to A.K. Rikk’s

What drew me to A.K. Rikk’s was their passion for the fashion industry and the way they encourage people to express themselves through what they wear.

What is your favorite part about working for A.K. Rikk’s?

All the amazing people I get to work with every day!

What is your favorite brand?

Alice + Olivia is definitely my favorite because it’s so fun and colorful.

What have you learned this week at A.K. Rikk’s?

I’ve learned so much since I started. I get to learn so many new things every day and that’s one of my favorite parts of my job! This week I learned about our new Logan Hollowell pieces and all the beautiful meanings behind their designs.

Who would you say is your number one fashion inspiration?

Blake Lively. Her style is always very confident, different and authentic.

What is your power color?

Always red or pink.

Are you a sneakers or a heels kind of girl?

Both! I would wear heels every day if my feet would let me but I also couldn’t live without a simple pair of white sneakers.

How do you get out of the I don’t have anything to wear rut?

By trying on everything I own. Usually I end up finding something I haven’t worn in forever and remember why I love it.

How do you relax after a hard day at work?

I like to go home and have some me time, do my skin care routine and watch a movie.

Most treasured possession?

My mom had custom birthstone rings made for my two sisters and myself. I never take it off.

The last time you were moved and why?

A few days ago my dad, who works for an adoption agency, was telling me an adoption story that was very moving. It made me appreciate all he does and how important his work is.

This concludes this Behind the Seams interview. The next time you stop into the store, please make sure to say hello to Bethany and ask her for some insider style tips.
