Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's: Meet Madi Suli

Today as a part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce you to our Administrative Assistant, Madison Suli! Madison has been a valuable part of the A.K. Rikk's family and fills a vital role in our day-to-day operations and heads right towards the hard work! We asked Madison about her favorite brand at the store and a zombie question just to get a little weird...

What initially drew you to A.K. Rikk’s? 

I had only ever seen photos, or videos on the website. From those images alone I could tell this would be an amazing place to work. Once I did see the store in person, I was amazed by all the beautiful things surrounding me. I could feel the positive energy right away and knew I wanted to be part of it.

What is your favorite brand? 

One of my favorite brands in the store is RE/DONE. I think it’s awesome how they recycle old clothes or styles and create something new. 

Define the word Fashion…

Fashion is something always changing and always growing. All the latest trends, latest colors and textiles. Fashion is something that will never stop! So many trends have come back in a new way, yet keeping the classic vibes from what our moms and dads wore.

Do you think there’s a difference between fashion and style? 

I definitely think there is a difference between fashion and style yet they go hand-in-hand. Fashion is something always changing and there’s so many things that go into fashion. Style is what you make from fashion. Style is taking the latest trends and making it your own. Everyone has their own personal style.

What fashion/style questions keep you up at night? 

Can I wear black with brown?

What are you most looking forward to when it comes to spring fashion? 

I love all the colors that come with spring! So bright and fun and spring means we are one step closer to summer. 

What is the first thing you notice about a person? 

Shoes! I always look at a person’s shoes. I think shoes tell a lot about someone and their style. I also think they hold a lot of history. Shoes go a lot of places with you and leave a lot of footprints. I am a firm believer that the best outfits are created around the shoe.
