Our Jewelry Buyer, Maggie Brown, has rounded up some of the hottest jewelry trends for Spring 2019:
Flowers were all over the runway for spring/summer 2019. Flowers in all sizes large and small were floating delicately on the models ears and necks. While florals may seem like an obvious trend for spring and summer, playing with flowers in your jewelry can be a fun fresh take on the look! Try these Lele Sadoughi studs to add a pop of floral on your ears without having to commit to a bright color!
The starry night trend is one that has been in and out of the runway for many seasons, but we are happy to see it is back in the spotlight! An awesome way to play into this trend is by adding dainty constellation pieces to your look. A personal favorite of ours comes from one of our favorite goddess’s who specializes in constellation pieces. This necklace features a 14k gold chain with diamonds delicately laid in the shape of the big dipper.
A trend that is definitely here to stay: Hoops! It seems that hoops have been a staple trend for quite some time now, but this season we aren’t seeing thin dainty hoops anymore, because thick “heavy” hoops are all the rage. I know you can hear your ears crying when the word heavy is mentioned with an earring, but not to fret! There are tons of great options that give the illusion of being thick heavy metal, but are actually quite light and comfortable on the ear! A favorite of ours is this pair of Jennifer Fisher silver hoops. They give the look of being large and heavy without pulling on your earlobe!
This industrial large chain look is a trend that has taken over both mens and women's jewelry. The most common way it is seen is in thick gold and silver necklaces that wrap around the neck as a statement piece, but it also can be done by wearing a thick chain bracelet! One of our top picks for the chain trend is the Chloe Terry Necklace. This gold necklace features the large thick chains, with a large brass and plastic circle to draw the eye straight to the necklace.
Pearls! You are going to start seeing them everywhere this spring and summer. Pearl necklaces, pearl earrings, pearl bracelets, you name it! And not just white pearls, we are talking about colored pearls too! Pink was seeming to be a big stand out color of pearl, but the classic white will be just as prevalent as it’s pink polished cousin. Our favorite pearl pick are these Lele Sadoughi pearl hoop earrings. These play into the hoop earring trend as well, and are a fun update to the classic pearl stud you have seen forever!
