Today, as a part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk’s series, we would like to introduce you to the latest addition to our Marketing team, Scott Robinson! He’s the resident videographer and has the pleasure of filming styling videos and helping our Personal Stylists live out their flair for fashion. Find out how he fits into our family in his Behind the Seams interview.
What initially drew you to A.K. Rikk’s?
The opportunity to meld two of my interests, fashion and videography, together.
What have you learned this week at work?
I’ve learned how each of the departments can work together to help achieve our common goals as a company.
What is your favorite brand at the store?
I really dig the stuff Zegna puts out with their evening and street wear styled pieces, especially their shoes and outerwear. I mean, who doesn’t love woven leather?
You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life. What is it?
Besides money, which I feel is cheating, I would love to have a lifetime supply of cold brew coffee. That stuff makes for an expensive habit and I need the energy boost.
What food feels celebratory to you?
A Moe’s Quesadilla. It sounds underwhelming but I have a lot of good memories tied to their food.
What is something that you learned about yourself this year?
I’ve embraced my individualistic side. I’ve finished school, moved to a new state and found a great job. I’ve also started to recognize when I need to live in the moment and when I need to focus on the future.
If you could invite any three people to a party who would you choose?
I honestly would spend forever trying to make that guest list but probably Glass Animals for some music, Charlie Puth because he seems chill and John Mulaney for comic relief.
Time freezes for everyone but you for one day. What do you do?
I’d probably shoot a documentary about the day. It’d be a hit and I’d be the only person with the ability to tell the story.
Have you ever been told you look like someone famous? Who was it?
Insert any bald celebrity, even if they don’t remotely look like me.
This concludes our Behind the Seams interview. The next time you stop into the store be sure to say hello to Scott or the next time you watch one of our style videos, make a point to tell Scott about your favorite session.
