Today as a part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce you to our Jewelry Buyer, Maggie Brown! Maggie has been a valuable part of the A.K. Rikk's family for 8 months! We asked Maggie about her favorite memory since starting at A.K. Rikk's and what makes her tick during her Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's interview!

How did you discover A.K. Rikk's?

My parents have been shopping at the store with Matt and Ben for 10 years! I would always come in with them when they shopped and loved that you could find luxury brands in Grand Rapids. When I found out there was a job opening, I knew I wanted to be a part of the team! 

Who is your Style Icon?

Morgan Stewart! I follow her on Instagram, @morganstewart is her handle, and I have actually purchased things that she's featured on her page! Everything is so cute! 

What is your favorite memory in your time at A.K. Rikk's?

I would have to say our trip to Traverse City! We went on a staff trip in October to celebrate the store's 30th anniversary. I had just started and it was amazing to be instantly welcomed by everyone. It was so much fun to get to know everyone better and enjoy Traverse City! 

What is your favorite piece you've gotten from the store?

Definitely my Chloé Faye bracelet bag! It was the first luxury piece I ever purchased for myself. 

What is your favorite part of working at A.K. Rikk's?

Being able to work in the Fashion Industry with the luxury brands that we carry is so incredible. This is truly something you can't find anywhere else in Grand Rapids! 

If you had to pick one brand, which would be your favorite?

My favorite brand is Alice and Olivia! I love how unique their pieces are. They are always fun, bright, and colorful!
