Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's: Meet Jimmy Boice

Today, as a part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce our newest member to join the A.K. Rikk's family, Operations Assistant, Jimmy Boice! Jimmy is working tirelessly to get deliveries to our valued customers so when your luxury goods come on time, it’s all Jimmy’s doing.

What is your favorite part of working at A.K. Rikk's so far?

My coworkers are by far the best part.

What have you learned this week at work?

I’ve learned how to pack and ship orders and handle deliveries.

What is your favorite brand at the store?

I would say Stone Island has a lot of options for different times of the year along with cool designs that are very functional for West Michigan.

When you're not at work, what could we find you doing?

I’m into baseball, fishing and hunting.

What was your best vacation ever?

A hunting trip to South Dakota! I shot my biggest buck down there and had a ton of fun driving down with my dad seeing the mountains and the prairies.

What’s a talent you wish you had?

I wish I could draw. I remember growing up that a lot of my friends had that talent and I personally could never do that.

Which types of clothes do you collect?

I collect Air Jordans, not just the shoes but cleats as well. It’s something my friend and I do for fun.

What would your spirit animal be?

A lion.

What’s your most prized possession?

It would be either my baseball glove or my bow.

If you had intro music, what song would it be? Why?

“Lose Yourself” by Eminem. We should act like every moment is the last moment you will get.

What is the most embarrassing piece of clothing you own?

Star Wars pajamas.

What's your best scar story?

I have a scar over my collarbone where I shattered it. I broke it wrestling in 9th grade. It was my last match before I went to State.

This concludes this Behind the Seams interview. The next time you stop in, if you see Jimmy, please say hello and welcome him and maybe chat him up about his latest sneaker purchases.
