Menswear Dog is a blog about a 3 year-old shiba inu wearing... well, menswear. OK, this is hilarious and the best thing about website is that it's serious; serious about fashion, that is. This dog is wearing clothing from J.Crew, Zara, vintage Herringbone and even a Ralph Lauren knit tie and Wolverine 1000 Mile boots we have at the store! I'm thinking we need a patient dog like that around the store to dress up! Jim, what do you think? Yes?
If you were hibernating through most of the 90s you might have missed a little obsession of Mr. Lauren's. Don't worry though, Mr. RL himself is resurrecting these furry friends to join the "everything old is new" circus. I had a few personal favorites during my childhood:
Ralph Lauren Black Label has something new for the style conscious bloke. Whether you wear denim to work or need something fresh to speed up the weekend wardrobe, you can trust Mr. Lauren. His new "Black Denim" line has what a man's man is looking for: quality, fit, and rugged refinement. Using Japanese denim combined with a trim (but not skinny) silhouette you can be confident you are looking your best. Stop in to our RL shop to check out all the new styles and even some Pre-Spring here for your Holiday get-a-way to the tropics!
So now that we're well into the Holiday season, we thought we'd help you out when it comes to your Holiday shopping. The staff here at A.K. Rikk's chose some of their favorite things in the store to create a women's and men's wish list!
The photo spread for the Olympic uniforms that the athletes will be wearing at this summer's opening ceremony was released yesterday! A bravo and a golf clap to Mr. Lauren!
Ralph Lauren's Car Collection is now on public display only at the Louvre in Paris. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity if you happen to be passing through!
I may or may not be hunted down, beaten, and ripped apart by the fashion demi-gods for saying this, but honestly, I've had it. I'm sure you have seen pics of this gent all over the blogospere/tumblr land with his signature coif, stache', and tatts. He is well respected in the fashion community, photographed by the Sartorialist, and lauded as a hero to a tri-fecta of male bloggers (gracing the pages of GQ, Esquire, and Details). Working for such powerhouses as John Bartlett, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and most recently Fashion Director for Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, one would assume that he might have the knowledge to assure his own wardrobe represented a man who was in tune to how certain details should be maintained. That being said, please look at where his jacket sleeves lay. "Hey Nickelson Wooster! SHORTEN YOUR SLEEVES PLEASE!!"
Ralph Lauren is finally bringing a London staple to New York. For the past few years a group of astute gentleman and gentlewomen have had the tradition of celebrating the tweed in their heritage by circling London by bicycle, dressed in their Sunday best, called the Tweed Run. The tradition is now being brought to the streets of New York this coming Saturday the 15th. Participants will start in the Village and ride all day to Brooklyn, stopping only to rest at a soiree and have tea. There will be prizes for best bicycle and best dressed appropriately.
While these may look like some first generation ancestor of yours or maybe a cast member of Boardwalk Empire, be assured, they are not. This is the Autumn/Winter look book for RRL Ralph Lauren. Only this brand can constantly up the ante and re-define the game.
Breaking News: After Lisa Cohen (senior fashion editor for 28 years) stepped down at GQ earlier this month, the magazine announced today that it will be hiring Justin Doss to succeed her, specifically covering the clothing market. Doss (26) has quite the pedigree, having stints at Barneys New York as an associate buyer for their luxury sportswear, Ralph Lauren and Sid Mashburn.
