Oscar Faves

So, the Oscars happened without Justin Timberlake, Jay Z, or Beyonce and it was STILL a good show (surprise!). But in all seriousness, it was pretty entertaining. The combination of Seth MacFarlane and the theme of music in movies was very entertaining. Seth played well into this new humor/attitude Hollywood seems to be having with their award shows; you know, this whole awkward humor in which actors are pretending to not take themselves that seriously. Like I said, it's pretty entertaining.

A little more exciting than the show was, of course, the fashion. Here's an A.K Rikk's recap of our favorite (female) Oscar looks!

Anyone notice how many Jennifers there are?! Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Garner... so many!! Anyway, the soon-to-be Mrs. Justin Theroux looked hott in red last night in this Valentino gown. Although she was all done-up, she still looked like herself. She kept things minimal and simple, wore her hair down, and the full-bodied red gown with the train was killer.

Can we talk about Charlize Theron?! I think she was my favorite look in Dior Haute Couture. Freshly cut locks, clean white gown with a small trail, beaded peplum waist, barely any accessories... this is perfection. It's funny because it almost reminds me of Anne Hathaway's white Chanel dress/short hair look from the Golden Globes earlier this year, but way, way better. Sorry, Fantine.

Moving onto Nicole Kidman's bestie, Naomi Watts wore this Armani gown that was both old-Hollywood glamour and futuristic. That sounded like an oxymoron. Whichever way you want to explain it, it was awesome. Even though she went along with the whole beaded/embellished/glitzy trend like many did last night, she stood out.

YES. LET'S GO ALL OUT. Thank you, Amy Adams, for wearing a large, over-the-top, glamorous Oscar de la Renta dress to the OSCARS. You know, the craziest, biggest, most lavish awards show of the year. You may have lost best supporting actress but... winner, winner, chicken dinner.

AND SCENE.
